What a CEO signature should include

  • Name and title · "CEO", "Founder" or "Co-founder": pick one, not three.
  • Company · in a serif or a distinctive weight, so it reads as the brand mark.
  • One phone number · the one you actually answer.
  • Booking link (optional) · so people can grab time without a back-and-forth.
  • One social handle · LinkedIn is usually the right one at this level.

The best CEO signatures are almost invisible. Skip the motivational quote, the four social icons, and the wall-of-text disclaimer. If it looks like a business card someone would keep, it works.

Common questions

What makes a CEO signature look expensive?

Restraint. One line for name and title. One line for company. One thin divider. No stack of icons, no 'this email is confidential' wall, no motivational quote. If it looks like a business card someone would keep, it works.

Should a founder include a phone number?

Include the number you actually pick up. Don't list a mainline you never see — it signals absence. If you don't want direct calls, use a booking link instead.

What about a tagline or mission statement?

One short line only, if any. 'We build tools people love' is fine; three sentences of company vision is not.
