Design and copy your signature
Open the free Wren builder in another tab, pick a Look, fill in your name, title and contact rows, then click Copy signature. Wren writes the HTML to your clipboard — logos, spacing and colors ready. - 2
Open Gmail settings
In Gmail, click the gear icon in the top right, then See all settings. Stay on the General tab and scroll down to the Signature section. - 3
Create a new signature
Click Create new, name it (e.g. "Work" or "Sales — 2026"), and paste with ⌘V / Ctrl+V. Gmail preserves the layout — do not use "Paste as plain text". - 4
Set the signature defaults
Under Signature defaults, pick your new signature for both New emails and Reply/forward. Uncheck Insert signature before quoted text so it always lands at the bottom of the message. - 5
Save — and hit refresh
Scroll to the very bottom and click Save Changes. Compose a new email to check spacing; if anything looks off, come back and repaste — Gmail sometimes trims trailing whitespace. - 6
Mirror it on Gmail mobile
Gmail's iOS and Android apps keep their own separate signature. Open the Gmail app → menu → Settings → your account → Mobile signature. Paste a short plain text version there ("Alex Rivera — Head of Marketing, Wren · +1 415 555 0142") so mobile replies still sign off cleanly.
Common questions
›Images and my logo don't show up in the recipient's inbox.
Almost always because the images are hotlinked from a private server, or the recipient auto-blocks remote images. Wren hosts every asset on public HTTPS URLs and inlines the logo as a standard
<img>, which is exactly what Gmail and Outlook expect. If you pasted from a Word doc, delete and repaste from Wren.›My signature works on desktop but not on the Gmail mobile app.
Gmail mobile does not read your desktop signature — you have to set a separate Mobile signature in the app's settings. Keep the mobile version short and text-only; complex HTML is usually stripped.
›The formatting breaks (weird gaps, blue underlines) after I paste.
Gmail's rich-text editor sometimes re-wraps pasted HTML. Two fixes: (1) paste into a fresh signature slot rather than editing an existing one, (2) if a link picks up an unwanted underline or color, select it and hit ⌘\ / Ctrl+\ to clear formatting, then repaste that line from Wren.
