Why not just upload a scan of my real handwriting?
Three reasons. One: a shared image of your ink signature is a forgery kit — anyone on the reply chain can lift it into a contract. Two: a phone-camera scan looks fine at 400px but pixelates on Retina at the 22–28px height an email signature actually renders at. Three: it never matches the font weight of the rest of your signature, so it reads as a sticker instead of part of the sign-off.

How Wren renders it so classic Outlook doesn't break it
Web fonts fail in classic Outlook for Windows because it uses Microsoft Word to render HTML mail, and Word ignores @font-face declarations. Every "handwritten" signature that relies on a live web font quietly falls back to Times New Roman on tens of millions of desktops.

Do I need to upload a scan of my actual handwriting?

Can I use a handwritten signature for legal documents?
