How to add an email signature on iPhone

Short answer
Open Settings, Mail, Signature, choose Per Account, and type a short text signature for each address. iPhone Mail strips HTML and images, so keep the mobile version textual.
Which version do you use?

The built-in Mail app supports one signature per account, but it's essentially plain text. If you need a designed signature on iPhone, use the Gmail or Outlook app tab.

  1. 1

    Open the Settings app

On the home screen, open Settings, scroll down and tap Mail.
  2. 2

    Tap Signature

    Under Composing, tap Signature.
  3. 3

    Choose Per Account

Pick Per Account so different addresses can have different signatures.
  4. 4

    Paste your signature

Tap the box for your account and paste. Don't have one yet? Open the free generator. Note: rich formatting will be stripped to plain text.
  5. 5

    Back out to save

Tap Mail at the top-left; iOS saves automatically.

Menu names occasionally move — look for Settings → Signature.

Why is iPhone Mail so limited?

Apple Mail on iOS is built around plain text. It strips styling from pasted signatures by design. Keep the phone signature short and textual; let your desktop signature carry the branding.

Remove "Sent from my iPhone"

Settings, Mail, Signature. Clear the text or replace with your own.

Sending from iPhone but signing as desktop

There's no clean way to send your full HTML desktop signature from iPhone Mail. If it matters, reply from Gmail or Outlook on the web in Safari instead.

Reply-vs-new defaults on iPhone

Neither iPhone Mail nor Gmail/Outlook mobile supports separate signatures for replies vs. new messages. Keep the mobile signature short.
